Schengen Visa Requirements for Saudi Residents & Non-Saudis

Planning a trip to Europe? ๐ If you’re applying for a Schengen Visa from Saudi Arabia, you must ensure that you have the correct documents for a smooth visa application process.
Below is a detailed checklist for both Saudi residents and non-Saudis to help you prepare.
General Requirements for Schengen Visa
- Valid Passport โ Must be issued within the last 10 years, have at least 3 months validity after your return, and include two blank pages. If the passport does not state your place of birth, an ID card or birth certificate is required. Family applications require a translated Saudi family ID card.
- Passport-sized Photo โ One recent photograph (white background).
- Employment Letter โ A letter from your employer in Saudi Arabia, attested by the Chamber of Commerce, detailing your position, salary, contract length, and purpose of visit. If self-employed, a valid trade license and its translation are required.
- Bank Statement โ Original stamped bank statement (or with a QR code) showing salary deposits for the last 3 months and proof of sufficient funds to cover your stay. If sponsored, copies of the sponsorโs passport and signature page are required.
- For Minors โ If traveling without parents/legal guardians, a signed authorization letter and passport copies of both parents are required.

Additional Requirements for Non-Saudi Residents
๐ Iqama (Residence Permit) โ Must be valid for at least 3 months after return. Copy required.
๐ Exit/Re-entry Visa โ Must be valid beyond departure date.
๐ Bank Statement โ Last 6 months of transactions required.
๐ For Private/Domestic Staff:
1. Letter from the sponsor and a copy of the job contract.
2. Copy of the sponsorโs passport and Schengen visa.

Visa Processing & Timeline
- Apply at least 6 weeks in advance to avoid delays.
- You can apply up to 6 months before travel and no later than 15 days before departure.
- Expect 10-15 days for processing, but during peak seasons, it might take longer.
