Now Update Passport(naqal malomat) Information Through Absher 2025 Update

If you’re an expatriate living in Saudi Arabia, updating your passport information just got easier. The Ministry of Interior, through the Absher platform, has introduced a convenient service that allows expats to update their passport details electronically—without visiting Jawazat offices.

How It Works

Now, instead of manual visits, you can log into Absher, select the “Update Expatriate Passport Information” service, and enter the new passport details for yourself or your dependents.

This service is available to:

  • Residents (Iqama holders)
  • Employers updating passport info for their workers
  • Individual sponsors (e.g. for domestic workers)

Requirements:

  • New passport details (must already be issued)
  • Valid Iqama
  • Absher account (registered and active)

Steps to Update via Absher:

  1. Log into your Absher account (https://www.absher.sa)
  2. Go to “My Services” > “Passports”
  3. Select “Update Expatriate Passport Information”
  4. Enter the required details and pay the SR 69 fee

Why It is Good News

Previously, updating passport information required a physical visit to Jawazat offices, often involving long wait times. Now, the process is streamlined, digital, and accessible 24/7.
